Here’s the latest updates on the Dallas Cowboys players involved in NFL free agency this season. Eight players have been lost while fourteen have been added. Eleven players have been retained from the Dallas Cowboys 2014-2015 squad. Three players remain in limbo.

ABOUT FREE AGENCY

• Exclusive Rights Free Agents: (Under uncapped rules, players with three or less years with accrued NFL experience; they have no negotiating rights and can only sign the offered tender with their current team)
• Unrestricted Free Agents: (Players free to negotiate and sign with any team)
• Restricted Free Agents: (Under uncapped rules, players with four and five years of accrued NFL experience whose teams still have right of first refusal, meaning they can match any offer sheet or receive draft pick compensation based on the players’ tender levels)
• Restricted Free Agent Tenders: (The Cowboys have right of first refusal, meaning they can match any offer sheet from another team or, if they choose not to match, they’d receive a draft pick that corresponds with the player’s tender level)
• Four years’ Experience: Original draft choice ($1.176 million); Second round ($1.759 million); First round ($2.521 million); First and third round ($3.168 million).
• Five years: Original draft choice ($1.226 million); Second round ($1.809 million); First round ($2.621 million); First and third round ($3.268 million).
• (Annually, around March 4, the deadline to make one-year tender offers to restricted free agents expires. If a player was not tendered, he became a free agent. It’s also the deadline for clubs to submit minimum-salary offers to their exclusive rights free agents. The free agency and trading period begins the next day, around March 5.)
