Feb. 19-25: Scouting combine in Indianapolis

March 3: The final day to use the franchise tag

March 8-11: Teams can begin negotiations with players who will be unrestricted free agents. Qualifying offers to restricted free agents are made in this window

March 11: The 2014-2015 NFL season (calendar year) officially begins

March 11: Clubs must be under salary cap by 3 p.m. (Dallas time)

March 11: NFL free agency period begins

March 11: NFL trading period begins.

March 23-26: Annual league meetings in Orlando, Fla.

April 21: PHASE 1: Coaches begin Dallas Cowboys offseason workout programs (OTA’s)

May 2: Deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets

May 2: Dallas Cowboys single game tickets go on sale (2:00 p.m.)

May 7: Deadline for club to exercise right of first refusal for its restricted free agents

May 8: 2014 NFL Draft in New York City – Round 1

May 9: 2014 NFL Draft in New York City – Round 2-3

May 10: 2014 NFL Draft in New York City – Round 4-7

May 17-19: Dallas Cowboys rookie mini-camp (recap)

May 19-21: NFL Spring League Meeting, Atlanta, Georgia

May 27-29: Dallas Cowboys OTA workouts

June 2: Dallas Cowboys OTA workouts

June 2: Deadline for “June 1 Tender” to its unsigned unrestricted free agents. If the player has not signed a Player Contract with a Club by July 22 or the first scheduled day of the first NFL training camp, whichever is later, he may negotiate or sign a player contract

June 4-5: Dallas Cowboys OTA workouts

June 9-12: Dallas Cowboys OTA workouts

June 17-19: Dallas Cowboys mandatory mini-camp (The Great Kyle Orton Watch of 2014)

July 15: Deadline designated franchise player to sign a multi-year contract or extension by 3 p.m. (Dallas time). After this date, the player may sign only a one-year contract with his prior club for the 2014 season, and such contract cannot be extended until after the club’s last regular season game

Mid July: Clubs are permitted to open preseason training camp for rookies and first-year players beginning seven days prior to the club’s earliest permissible mandatory reporting date for veteran players.

July 22: Signing period ends for “June 1 Tender” unrestricted free agents by 3 p.m. (Dallas time). Prior club has exclusive negotiating rights.

July 22: Signing period ends for transition players with outstanding tenders (offers) by 3 p.m. (Dallas time). Prior club has exclusive negotiating rights.

Tuesday, July 22: Training Camp 2014-2015 – Team Charter arrives at Pt. Mugu

Thursday, July 24: Training Camp – First practice — full roster (6:00 p.m. CST)

Sunday, Aug. 3: Annual Blue/White Scrimmage (5:30 p.m. CST)

August 7: NFL Preseason – Game 1 – Dallas Cowboys @ San Diego Chargers (9:00 pm KVTV/CBS-11)

August 16: NFL Preseason – Game 2 – Dallas Cowboys vs. Baltimore Ravens (6:00 pm KVTV/CBS-11)

August 23: NFL Preseason – Game 3 – Dallas Cowboys @ Miami Dolphins (6:00 pm KVTV/CBS-11)

August 28: NFL Preseason – Game 4 – Dallas Cowboys vs. Denver Broncos (7:00 pm KVTV/CBS-11)

September 4, 7-8: NFL Kickoff Weekend 2014
